not too bad.
I woke at 8am, but tree-climbing session was cancelled due to insufficient sign-ups. Had mum go to the market with me, bought veges & charsiew. Come back, she accompanied her friend somewhere else while I stayed at home to prepare the ingredients. She was back noon, we whipped out a simple lunch.
it honestly feel nicer when it's homecooked. especially when u cook it urself *lol*
mum's out to some CC ktv with her frenz again, and i rotted at hm. slept a bit in the evening, watched some documentaries on Discovery Travel channel, then start working on my cosplay armour outfit again.
it's a simple day. But a nice day :)
OMG, I nearly died! It's so much tougher than I tot! yeah yeah, it's WATER SPORTS, but I think I'm not so mentally prepared to do all these.
Before onto the boat, I was taught to put on the binders (binders refer to the *shoes* which are screwed onto the wakeboard, they are totally 2 separate items... what I only realise today T_T) on ground. Fine, it's not that difficult. TILL I have to go down INTO the water and take off/put on the binders/wakeboard IN water! (they wanted me to finish it in 30s... but I honestly can't T_T mind you... the wakeboard floats and your legs don't).
If you are chest-down in water, u need to flip urself chest-up. Sounds simple right? with the binded wakeboard on your feet! you need to STRAIGHTEN your legs and toes pointing down so the wakeboard *cuts* the water. I still failed to do this at the end of today's lessons. The wakeboard isn't light, especially in water T_T
so the boat is on standby. I've gotten into the water, hands gripped on the bar. But I wasn't mentally prepared for what followed. I was so taken aback, I let go almost immediately! hahaha yeah I swollowed a lot of salt water today! My grip isn't strong enough, so just imagine how many times I let go and fell into the water XD (the boat is FAST ok!) They will keep tell you, "keep your hands straight, but DON'T PULL!"... yes, you need to GRIP STRONG, but the rest of your hands are NOT supposed to move! It's hard! 'cos subconsciously I'll bend my elbow to pull my self even though I know I only need to GRIP TIGHT at the palm/fingers....
Then... you need to stand up. You only use your leg muscles to push urself up. and you have to do it EQUALLY on both legs. once you assert more strength on one leg, you are unbalanced, and your wakeboard goes haywired in direction. That's what I need to work on now T_T I still can't stand by the end of today... (after the stand, it's the hips that need to do some work... which I yet to do it...)
to be continued next week T_T
p.s. yeah. the instructor ANDY is very cute, 'cos he's half-australian I think. He got a fanclub *lol*
some words to anyone fighting against weight like me *lol*
aviod red meat but take lotsa FISH. They provide proteins alike, WITHOUT that much fats *lol*. Or else take BOILED chicken BREAST meat (try to aviod seasonings hor), or fastfood? BK grilled chicken still roughly meet the mark ba. Feel like snacking? take fruits, or cereal drinks (thou those sachet type quite a lot of sugars y'know, or try water first b'cos a lot of times when the body is lack of water it does feel a bit like *hungry*). Cut down rice/noodles (when I eat chinese food with guys, they wun need to pay for another extra bowl of rice! haha), take more soup. We honestly don't need so much meat, so take the vegs! *mushroom lowers cholestoral btw* thou they always say dun eat after 7pm(best! or 9pm- LATEST), i honestly think ONE (only one! the normal size, not upsized!) tuna sandwich or ONE bananan won't kill if u really that hungry.
do CARDIO exercises 4-5 sessions a week, and each session 40mins & above. Heart-rate to go about 65% & above of your body limit (for my age, PT says should reach 166 at least T_T and telling me to move on to 50mins-1hr per session). cardio includes jogging, skip-ropping, fast cycling, roller-blading, etc. If u are using gym equipment, go for lvl4, 5 or even 8 and above if u can (i'm now still struggling lvl 5 now T_T)
Light repetitive weights are encouraged to tone the muscles. If you dun go gym, get some dumbbells or filled waterbottles to do some weights ba. hehe. Do 12-15 repetitions per set, and 3-4 sets. But advisable to stretch after every 1-2sets. if u do go gym, do weights abt 3times a wk~ (and proper stretching oh!)
remember to do your warmup and cooldown before and after exercise oh! Do 5min of cardio to increase body temperature first, then do 5-10mins of stretching to various body parts. Aviod reversing the steps 'cos stretching *cold* muscles can hurt easily! For cooldown, do cardio & stretching too~
jiayou jiayou jiayou!
My PT Syed, gave me homework to do. To do 6 days of foodlog. Tonight I'll be showing him the list and getting comments I think. Meanwhile, I'll post here my log *lol*

I'm doing 30mins of theory/hands-on on Wakeboarding (beginner course) on Sat morning~ and 2.5hrs of theory/hands-on on Tree-climbing (Beginner course) on Sun morning! For Tree-climing beginner course, will be at Marina City Park (those taller trees) and only $28! anyone interested to go with me?! *lol* I'm confirmed goin though!
p.s. there's a new class for exotic dancing starting in late Sept oh! nothing too kinky hor *lol*
URG! I didn't bring my digicam! Sorry guyz, can't show you how it was like over there at Marina Bayfront today till my new friend (which I got to know as we were in the same timeslot for tandem-jumping) emails me the pix from her cam or I get the video recording of the jump. Anyway, Nina came to talk to us while we were waiting! She's such a friendly person!
Besides doing Tandem-Jump at the event, there are other activities around and I get to go on as a passenger for Stunt-Driving (steep turnings, etc) and also human reverse bungee-jumping (where you are strapped to elastic bands and just keep jumping off the mat!) which I jumped so high that the female staff basically said "bye bye" to me *lol*
Back to speak about the tandem-jump...OMG! the feeling was BEYOND WORDS! The weather was unstable in the early morning so we were put on hold for quite a while. There's even once a Fun-Jumper (licensed skydiver) was "outlanded" and the recovery team went to fetch him back (we heard he landed at Marina South). On ground, I was put on the harness(?) and briefed when to criss-cross hands (to aviod any possibilities to grab the tandem master outta fear), to let go upon "taptap" signal (to enjoy the flight!), to raise legs to land (so as not to break the legs!). Everything sound simple enough. And it is! (the tandem master is in control mah...) As I was on the chopper and sitting at the edge of the entrance, I could see Singapore like Lego! When we finally reach 6000ft (abt 2 km from ground), within a spilt second, my tandem-master just slide us both out the chopper! Imagine the feeling when you go down the slide on the roller-coaster. That's how it roughly feels like. Just longer, and you are not on any rail! My tandem-master even let me try pulling the brake (also serves function of controlling direction) while we were in the air! I screamed. Not out of fear, but out of excitement. WOW.
I would wanna do it again. If I have the chance. Definitely.
p.s.Oh~ Ix Shen (Shen4 Qing1 Shan4) was there. He's a licensed skydiver if you haven't heard. I think he's diving at least 15 times today (he was holding almost one booklet of coupons...), representing Singapore Tourism Board. He's a very cool guy if you haven't realised it *lol*
D-zone!
I must say this is the most happening Natsu Matsuri by far, for me. I went alone for the past 2 years, and I enjoyed myself eating and sitting in front of the stage to watch performances. But I guess companionship doesn't hurt. Met up with nereid, ling, nevar, rishu, lizzy @ Tanah Merah station, changed there and went on the public bus in our yukata/kimono. It's especially fun when ours are all customised *lol*
p.s.I thought I took pic with Kaori & gang but apparently I didn't... and I can't catch Yun & gang! (hey Yun you went off early?!)
*missing Ling!* | ShaoYang & gang *lol* |
In case u haven't heard~ BOND is coming in Oct. and YES. me and mum (she likes Bond!) are going to their concert. I've waited so long! (yes I like to look at pretty girls *lol*) I'm expecting their concert to be better than 12-girl Band. We'll see about that.
i'm stil have 36% bodyfats! i need to push it down below 32% to be in acceptable range! URGGGGGG meeting PT this sat morn >_<
wana go gym bt forgot to bring trackpants... mebe i shd juz go hm tonight to do the ribbon for the obi and continue to work on my armor... since me goin rollerblading with colleagues at ECP tomorrow anyway *shrugs*
sad & disappointed... no email....my bro received yesterday email from EDB to go for 2nd interview next week... good for him... if he can make it to Capcom Japan, i'll make him get stuff for me there *bleah*
i want a Bishie i want a Bishie i want a Bishie!
to fulfil my ultimate goal, i'll work hard to become a Bijin! *lol*
I need a Bishie to style, dress, pose, take pic...
okay i tink i need a SD13 more *lol*
p.s. appt with PT tonight~
ah~ PERFECT couple
I added my ambitious list at the right after the links. Check it out if you are that bored. It'll be updated as and when I feel like it. Currently still working on Thetis, and be starting on Windows 98 soon. Still sorting out in my head how to go about doing Ciel. For Myoubi and Kendappaoh, have to wait till I lose some more weight ba! *lol*
Some info on the lesser-known characters (I'm too boliaoz now~)
- OS musume is a group of female characters based on OS. Created by the japanese fan-community. Windows 98 has 2 versions, the version I'm listing is the one with plug and carries around her blue package box.
- Perfect Cherry Blossom is part 2 from a series of doujin game, by an independant individual named Zun. It's an insane shooting game... you'll get what I mean if you see the game screenshots. Yakumo Ran is a 9-tailed fox.
- Tsukihime is also a series of game. In Melty Blood, Ciel has 2 versions, I'm targeting the off-robe version which reveals her tattoos~
p.s. i think i won't be able to find any cosplay team-members at all ever if i keep choosing characters of such genres *lol*
I'm on MC today and staying at home. However, to my mum, staying at home means helping out at home. No excuses. Even if you are sick, things still need to be done. That's what she has always been doing, so she expects the same from me.
Today my mum is free from work so I'm under her wings the whole day. Brought Pickle to the groomer. Carry home 1 carton of dog food. Bought some groceries. Now, those who know me should know I sux @ housechores. But mum made me cook (simple one of course) lunch (under her directions of course). I was multi-tasking between the cooking, doing my jap homework, folding the clothes. While mum focus on sewing together the yukata pieces, which I did drafting earlier (with her pointers apparently...), and I helped out in the mockup stitches and some hand stitches.
huh. for this yukata mum said I won't be able to make it in time if I were to sew it myself with the antique sewing machine *lol* but for next cosplay outfits which are not urgent, she'll try to let me do it (most of the time she's just not patient enough to see me sew at tortoise speed...). She wants me to sew a pillow case from the left-over cloth next, so I can learn to fix zips *lol*
today...
