Arts Festival: La Música del Cuerpo

I brought mum along for this comtemporary spanish modern dance + flamenco performance. It was cheorographed by Rafaela Carrasco (not that i know her beforehand -_-;), who apparently had worn national recognition thru competitions in her homeland. As the dance title hints, it's "music of the body". And thats just wat the troupe displayed.

With their band playing in the background, every part of their body & every movement portrayed a note. In their 1st act into five, each dancer personifies the running notes of a specific instrument involved in a composition for 5. The 3rd act behind the mirror, 2 dancers mirrored each other and it closed off with the solo dance of the 3rd dancer behind the mirror. i guess my fav is still after the interval, when in an act there were 3 pairs of dancers and each pair signifies harmony, opposition & struggle respectively in terms of both music tempo & body guestures.

Though sadly it was only abt 90% full, with 50% foreigners & 15% japanese audience *sigh*... the performance was never lacked of endless rounds of applause. It was really a great performance ~:)
