anyone here knows abt it? it's a 1986 work & being popular for a decade, sorta fade away. but due to hearty responses from foreign fans (in particular to mention the French), it has made a comeback in the recent yrs.

its my childhood memories nay. probably my 1st manga series dat i read. when i was in pri.5. and prior to dat, saw the anime screencaps in HK anime magazines "A-Club" when i was in pr.2 *lol*

since there are way too many characters, story background,etc~ i wun go into them here. but my fav characters were mainly the Gold Saints & the Marine Scales. Just very recently, the Shanghai cosplayers did the 12 Gold Saints. that's a big big news among the fans. ok, i was screaming. *lol*

k. the manga drawing pretty sux. to b honest. & the story more or less the typical "i will scarifice myself" kinda shounen manga. bt i love the individual characters, with their own personalities, family backgrounds, love-hate relationships & well, their armours too. the designs get more and more intricate along the way.

i was reading on some parody & fan articles, and 1 really touched my heart again :)

In the Poseidon Chapters, among the Marine Scales, there is this Mermaid named Thetis who was the only female among the general troops. She is under the direct orders of Poseidon, but as a female, she loves him very much. He was like the "Prince" fr "the little mermaid", who would never know how much she does for him, even up to her death. and the saddest thing to me is, she loves him partially b'cus of their 1st meeting, in which he saves her - when she was a fish carelessly washed up to the shore! he never even realised how much impact he has on her... *sobs*



p.s. i'm tinkg how to build the base for the armour plates... doin some tests
